My best friend and resident "oh fuck, help me through this" gal sat down with me to talk about HOW to feel your feelings, and how actually sitting in the uncomfortableness can ease your fears, worries, and distrust of your body image.

She's got actionable tips, and a million wonderful analogies to put it all in perspective.

Is sitting in the shitty feelings terrible?  It can be, but EMOTIONS pass through you in 90 seconds IF YOU LET THEM.

Remove yourself from your thought process and allow yourself to be a witness to what's going on in your head.

And don't you dare be afraid to talk to someone about what's going on up there!

You can find Molly on Psychology Today as well as at Olive Branch Therapeutics.

This one is deep, friends.  We talk about the affects of SA and Narcissistic Abuse on our body image, and self image as a whole.
Katherine is a spiritual tattoo artist, makeup artist, and co-owner of Dark Willow Emporium, a spiritual shop in Carson City, NV.  She graciously stopped by and stepped deep into vulnerability with me to tell her story, and ask questions about mine.

We dive into what it feels like to be trapped in these abusive situations, the mental toll they take, and how to come back to yourself once you're free.

Katherine's biggest tip?  Find out who you are and what you like, and begin living as authentically as possible.  From what you do, to what you wear, to how you respond to requests.  Authenticity is the key to feeling like your best self.

Stephanie and her husband own my favorite nipple pasties company, Pastease.  We start the call talking with how Pastease came to be and their most recent rebrand, which focuses on women's empowerment and acceptance of their bodies.  They've always expressed a desire for women to feel comfortable and powerful in their bodies, but they've upped the ante as Stephanie's realized she doesn't need to teach the women wearing Pastease to raves how to feel comfy with themselves.  She doesn't need to teach the people using Pastease in intimate settings howe to embrace and explore their bodies.

She's ready to teach every day women how powerful, sensual, and GOOD they can feel, wearing Pastease to clean their bathrooms.  Or relighting a spark in a partnership.  Or just to be comfortable with the way their own unrestricted body moves.  Because when women feel free to be THEMSELVES in their own body, the world is truly a better place.

Stephanie relays how she's been able to speak to ravers and church goers alike through her product.  And we touch on how her kids have grown up in their business, learning respect for women and people beyond their bodies.

And her big tip?  Treat yourself and speak to yourself like you would your dog, with love and kindness.  If you wouldn't say the things you're saying to yourself to any other living thing... it's time to rethink your mindset.

Jenna came by for the funniest, most irreverent, light hearted body image conversation.  We talked about her experience playing rugby and how that helped her body image, finding the right community, normalizing women weighing 200lbs.

We talked a lot about authenticity, in dating and in finding your people.  How it will help you build self confidence.

Finding cup-filling activities by being conscious of the connections in your life and doing things that you love.

And the biggest take away, how being a good person is the key to being ok with your body.

Leisha stopped by the studio to talk about her journey, healing from an eating disorder breakups, and negative body comments, through getting outside.

After chasing external validation, and continuously having to handle body based comments as a teenager, she found a new way to deal with her emotions by CHOOSING to take care of herself.

For Leisha, getting outside encouraged movement and finding joy, as well as getting in touch with her inner child.  Reconnecting to nature helped her heal and remember that we're all connected, like mycelia.

Reading her favorite authors, Brene Brown and Gabby Bernstein made a huge difference in addressing her shame AND her spirituality by encouraging her to slow down, and sink into stillness.  This woman has been DOING the work.

Every moment is a different moment, and you can make a different choice.  You can shift your focus to BEING.

Leisha infuses everything she does with love, including her business, which has helped her to stop hiding pieces of herself.

Natasha (@natashacothard)and I talk about all things nutrition... but like you've never imagined.

What if you used your food as information?  Truly tuning into your body, how you feel, and how different things affect you, so that you can make informed, empowered decisions about how you want to fuel yourself.  Your body knows the answer, you just have to listen to it.  And YES, you're worth the time it takes to find out.

Natasha prides herself on being a "Both/And" person.  Yes, fuel your body, AND find pleasure in food.  Learn how to actually love yourself and your body, by thinking more long term to keep your earthly home HEALTHY and functioning for as long as possible.

The biggest takeaway?  Start cutting out ultra processed foods.  Find out how your body reacts to certain things by implementing an elimination diet and listening to the way it reacts when you reintroduce foods.

Find out how she shifted her decision making from being aesthetic based to how she actually felt when she fueled herself certain ways.  Leave the critical voice behind and get CURIOUS.

Abrie's been a professional dancer for as long as I've known her.  A few years ago she moved to Vegas to pursue some BIG dreams.

She talks about what it's like being a professional performer in Sin City, the good, the bad, the ugly.  How she deals with the burnout of being seen and perceived.  We talk about her move into fire dancing, how it feels performing solo vs in a group.  And how following some nudges led her into the trip of a lifetime.

We talk A LOT about therapy.  How it helped her in healing an eating disorder, and changing her body image in an industry focused on her body.

My biggest takeaways from Abrie's advice on body image and acceptance:
+ Being able to remove yourself from your thoughts
+ Remember when you're looking at yourself that it's ONLY LOVE
+ Using solo sex to find your way back into your body
+ Being intimate with yourself is an act of self love
+ Finding your people releases so much body image pressure
+ Go where you're valued
+ And go to therapy

Maria is a past client of mine, a beautiful soul, and a Virgo (yeah, that's important!)  We got the chance to catch up and touch on a million different topics, with the potential to have gone on for hours!!!

We talked about her session with me, her Vitiligo (an autoimmune disorder than causes loss of pigment in skin), how representation of ALL KINDS matters.  We dive into how we both love being the cool Aunt while being child free ourselves.  We touch on non monogamy, filling your cup from multiple people, and having really strong boundaries with the people you allow in your life.

And then we got into her intentional decision to lose weight, her nonnegotiable, what that meant for her, and how she did it.  Whether or not losing that last 10 pounds means losing out on the memories that helped put it there.  And most importantly, why she stopped weighing herself, and how it felt as freeing as breaking up with a toxic partner.

Buckle up and dive in with us!
